Solsbury Solutions are delighted to be working with one of the UK's largest insurance brokers to recruit Sales Insurance Brokers based in their office in Chandlers Ford. Our client is a growing Top 30 insurance broker, a specialist in providing niche insurance solutions.
  
The role will be to provide best practice advice to new and existing customers, generating profitable sales through exceptional service. To develop and deliver clear plans that create continuous improvement in business performance. 
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Generate appropriate and profitable sales by providing best practice advice and exceptional customer service
  • Identify appropriate opportunities to offer additional products and services to customers
  • Consistently achieve targets in line with key performance indicators, call monitoring standards and quality and compliance
  • Ensure our customers needs are identified and fulfilled appropriately 
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our products and procedures ensuring our customers are given accurate information at the earliest opportunity
  • Organise own workload to ensure customer needs and business targets are met
  • Update business systems to ensure accurate records are held
  • Demonstrate the Fair Treatment of Customers principles during all customer contact
  • Build positive relationships within the team and contribute to creating a positive team environment
  • Proactively look for opportunities to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively and meet changing circumstances
  • Stay up to date with new initiatives to interpret and pass on new product/technical/customer and organisational developments
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of the business and industry to support commercially aware strategic decisions
  • Ensure 3 lines of defence and risk awareness is embedded within the team
  • Comply with all relevant legislative and legal requirements, including industry regulations, employment law, data protection and health and safety
  • Actively participate in personal development, responding positively to coaching and development feedback, to improve performance
  • Maintain awareness of and follow company procedures and guidelines, including security, regulatory and quality related matters
  • Comply with all relevant legislative and legal requirements, including industry regulations, employment law, Data Protection and Health and Safety
  • Demonstrate behaviours that promote our values
  • Undertake adhoc tasks as directed by Line Manager
  • Organise own workload to ensure that targets are met
Essential Experience Required
  • Previous experience working in a customer facing role, either on the phone or face to face
  • Experience of working in and contributing to a successful team
  • Experience of working to targets and/or tight deadlines
  • Proven experience of using initiative to resolve customer queries
Desired Experienced
  • Previous experience working with customers over the phone
  • Previous experience in a sales environment
  • Previous experience of working within financial services or a regulated environment
  • Willingness to extend their qualifications through the Chartered Insurance Institute (financed by the company in most cases)
  
 
Education, Knowledge & Skills
 
 
  • GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths
  • IT literate with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, databases and systems
  • Resilient & comfortable in a fast paced sales/performance orientated environment
Salary

£22,000 - £24,000 per year

The role is a full time, permanent position.
