The Production Supervisor is required to supervise a team of up to 15 staff on early shift and/or 15 staff on late shift.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the running of the dessert production line, ensuring product is made to specification, in a safe and efficient manner, while complying with health and safety and food safety standards
This is a hands on physically demanding role.
This role would suit a production line leader responsible for either depositor line, flow wrapper or cartoning type machines
Hours planned in advance, 5 day week (Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday)
The available shifts include;
5am-2pm Monday to Friday
7am-4pm Monday to Saturday
1pm-11pm Monday to Friday
Key Duties
- Managing a team of up to 15 operatives
- Completing start up procedures
- Ensure all the items necessary to run the line operation efficiently are ready
- Supervising production process
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Ensure all records including weight checks are complete and compiled
- Making sauces and mixes according to recipes
- Filling of hoppers on the production line
- Managing priorities to ensure the components needed for the team are made on time and in the correct quantities
- Changing machine settings, film, depositors, metal detection operations
- Ordering of ingredients to meet the production plan
- Labelling and stock rotation of goods
- Factory close down procedures on late shift
- Supervising other members of the team carrying out tasks not related to the line operation (scone making, tart making, sauces, sponges , crumbles etc…
Full training will be provided, however supervisory experience and production experience is essential.
Salary - up to £24,000 per year.
