For some of us, two months prior to the big day we’re digging out the Christmas decorations and singing along to ‘Wham – Last Christmas’. However, we all know that some of the office or work place will throw around the “It’s too early” one liner up until the day you break up for the Christmas holidays. But, there’s a solution! Convert the ‘scrooge’s’ into people who enjoy the festive period as much as you do!

Step one…

Start subtly changing ‘Heart’ radio station over to ‘Heart Xmas’ a few times a day. You may even see people singing along without even wanting to or realising it.

Step two…

Start pinning up some tinsel around door frames and people’s desks. Even if people don’t want to see it, it’s there and subconsciously they’ll take in a little bit of Christmas every time they walk to the toilet. Get the Christmas tree up and get people involved by suggesting it as a team building exercise. No-one can deny the satisfaction of completing a Christmas tree and gazing back in awe at your masterpiece.

Step three…

Set a date for a Christmas jumper day! ITV have even made it easy for you by teaming up with Save the Children and setting a date for December 18th. Everyone has a Christmas jumper, whether it’s full of sequins and flashing lights or fluffy sheep and Christmas baubles, so there’s no excuse! After all, it’s for a good cause!

Step four…

An easy way to bring teams together, arrange Secret Santa. Limit each person to only spending £5 and pick a day to exchange and reveal! Don’t want the hassle of having to organise it? Not to worry, use this online tool that does all the hard work for you.

Step five…

Everyone’s work complete? Let your staff leave early, it is Christmas after all!
